Narcissistic Abuse Recovery

What is narcissistic abuse?

It is a repeated pattern of abusive behavior that is demeaning, antagonizing, and high conflict. People high in narcissistic traits have a high need for admiration, control, and asking for submission. It is a cycle that consists of lovebombing followed by devaluation and discard. Antagonistic and narcissistic personalities aim to build fast high emotional intensity, are “fast and furios”, and have a general disregard for boundaries and societal rules, among other things.

Porlonged intimate partner violence will erode your sense of self and identity. The authentic self is pushed aside and the compliant self (not the real self) emerges in order to survive the ordeal.
